We are looking for a Business Analyst to be part of a leading banking institution to support their sustainable finance vision across the region.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Business Administration preferred;
  • At least 8 years of experience in sustainability;
  • Good understanding of sustainable financial markets and related financial instruments;
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders;
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality, accurate work;
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team culture;
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and written skills;

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Prior experience working in the banking industry;

Responsibilities

  • Promote the Bank's sustainable finance vision across the region, with a focus on Singapore, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and India;
  • Aid in communicating and distributing sustainable finance guidelines, policies, and information to the markets;
  • Conduct research on sustainability topics within sensitive sectors like agriculture, oil & gas, and infrastructure, staying informed about trends and issues, and effectively communicate findings, provide training, and raise awareness among internal stakeholders;
  • Utilize data analytics and model updates to facilitate monitoring of the bank's progress towards net zero across nine industry sectors: power, oil and gas, automotive, shipping, aviation, real estate, steel, chemicals, and food and agribusiness;
  • Coordinate the agenda for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and climate activation training;
  • Act as a liaison for engagements with governmental agencies, industry associations, NGOs, and other relevant bodies on sustainability matters, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate responses and communication;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information for various sustainability reporting mediums such as the Annual Sustainability Review, Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures, Equator Principles, and Green Investment Principles for the Belt and Road Initiative.
