We are looking for a lead to support the core trading system (Bloomberg AIM) and other platforms (FactSet) used by various Stakeholders for an established bank.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Banking and Finance and other related disciplines;
  • Has 7 years of work experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager;
  • Should be an IT professional with a good understanding of Finance and Asset Management requirements;
  • Has prior experience in business analysis, in a regional project driven environment and has experience of managing investment data;
  • Experience of working with financial and market data from various sources and contracts management;
  • Knowledge and experience in Bloomberg Asset and Investment Manager (AIM) platform – as a system administrator and product specialist;
  • Skilled in managing  platforms such as FactSet;
  • Knowledge of investment process and financial instruments; 
  • Has exposure to portfolio managers, traders or risk analysts;
  • Strong IT and troubleshooting skills;
  • Excellent communication Skills.

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Work experience in Asset management within banking and financial industry;
  • Familiarity in the use of data, visualization and automation (RPA) tools; 

Responsibilities
Platforms

  • Responsible for leading the team with a focus on Bloomberg AIM and platforms to ensure efficient service quality;
  • Work closely with users of the platforms on supporting the front office system environment and ensure daily business-as-usual (BAU) support;
  • Understand  business requirements from investment research teams, portfolio managers, trading desks and operations in order to effectively transform these into technical specifications;
  • Guide and train junior staff (locally and in regional offices) in the use of the platforms and conduct regular engagement with users of the platform to ensure adoption of best practices and application governance;
  • Perform regular systematic checks and assist in audits related to the trading platform and other related applications/platforms;
  • Performs project management and coordination for new platform implementation or updates;

Market Data Management

  • Involved in designing and implementing a market data and systems inventory management system that keeps track of contracts, pricing, user profiles, allocation;
  • Manage contracts with vendors related to platforms, market data feed subscriptions and user licenses;
  • Responsible for building  and maintaining good relationship with a diverse group of external vendors;
  • Ensure users are kept updated on new platform updates and upgrades in maximizing its potential;
  • Involved in Facilitating data usage audits and enforcing compliance with terms and conditions based on agreements;
  • Vendor management: Track incidents, negotiate change requests, and escalate issues.
