We are seeking an experienced System Administrator with expertise in providing support to OpenShift platform life cycle using Kubernetes and Docker.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Diploma /Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- 4-6 years of experience in Administrate the full OpenShift platform life cycle to ensure the platform remains secure, reliable and highly available;
- Experience with Linux operation systems and best practices;
- Well versed in knowledge of monitoring and automation tools- Ex: Netcool;
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration and tools such as Jira and Jenkins;
- Able to manage capacity for OpenShift environments;
- Proficiency with Configure and Manage Monitoring, alerts for the OpenShift environments.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator;
- Knowledge in Security Remediation process (vulnerability assessment and patch management);
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to maintain the OpenShift infrastructure and assist in resolving any infrastructure-related queries or issues;
- Infrastructure Operations and Production Support of container technologies and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes & OpenShift);
- Strong technical analytical and troubleshooting skills and possess an ability to explain technical concepts and provide guidance to staff;
- Proficient to expert in scripting and automation, capable of converting manual and maintenance tasks into fully orchestrated automated processes;
- Must have Strong Knowledge & experience in system monitoring techniques and tools supporting unattended operations;
- Ability to operate in complex, highly secure, and highly available, operations environments and interact with the technology domain experts required to maintain those environments;
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and excels at coaching other support team members by sharing technical and customer knowledge in a helpful and timely manner;
- Responsible for partnering with the Platform, Engineering and Delivery Teams to deliver seamless infrastructure support for all business units;
- Working knowledge of monitoring and automation tools- Ex: Netcool.
